On September 26-27, 2025, international koresh master classes and competitions were held at the Peacock Fight Club in Antalya, bringing together 70 athletes from various countries. Participants were selected based on the results of preliminary master classes held in preparation for the tournament. Participants included representatives from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Turkey. Participants included athletes from other martial arts, as well as world champions and Koresh World Cup winners.
Competitions were held in various weight categories, ranging from 60 kg to over 130 kg. This tournament was a significant event not only for wrestlers but also for fans of traditional martial arts.
The tournament was organized with the support of the World Ethnosport Union, under the leadership of Bilal Erdogan, and the Turkish Traditional Wrestling Federation, which fielded the Turkish national team, comprised of the best athletes from various regions of the country. It is noteworthy that representatives of the Tatarstan Cultural Association in Antalya, led by Gulnaz Ziangirova, attended the event, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between peoples.
To ensure the tournament's high level, a delegation from the International Koresh Federation, led by Chairman of the Board Ravil Nogumanov, arrived in Antalya. The delegation included qualified judges, organizers, and athletes.
International Koresh tournaments have been held in Antalya since 2022 and have established themselves as a significant event in the sporting lives of wrestlers and fans of traditional martial arts. The event promotes the popularity of Koresh and the development of ethnosports in general.
In addition to traditional Koresh competitions, Antalya has also hosted test competitions in beach Koresh—a new style of belt wrestling that opens new horizons for the traditional sport and attracts a younger audience.
