International competitions of belt wrestling Koresh will be held in Bolgar, Tatarstan

From May 19 to 21, the Republic of Tatarstan will host international Koresh belt wrestling competitions. Ceremonial events and final fights will take place on May 19 on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve as part of the “Izge Bolgar Zhyeny” congress.

In total, the following will be accepted in international koresh competitions:
participation of more than 100 wrestlers from 17 countries. Athletes from national teams will compete in six weight categories, including the absolute, the winner of which will receive the main prize of the competition - a car from the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Last year, as part of the tournament in Bolgar, meeting of symbolic teams of Russia and Asia. The competition was traditionally attended by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of the Koresh Federation Dzhaudat Minnakhmetov.
The bronze medalist took part in the final of the gala match Olympic Games in wrestling Marid Mutalimov from Kazakhstan, Guinness Book of Records holder Dmitry Khaladzhi from Russia (Donetsk) and winner of the world championships in judo, sumo and wrestling Jamal Feyziev from Azerbaijan.

As a result of the fights, Jamal Feyziev, a representative of Azerbaijan, became the absolute winner, the hero. The winner was awarded the main prize of the competition - a motorcycle.
