At the international koresh competition in Bolgar, a record was set for the number of throws, and the winner received the main prize - a car

From May 17 to 19, koresh belt wrestling international competitions were held in the Republic of Tatarstan. The ceremonial events and final matches of the gala match took place as part of the “Izge Bolgar Zhyeny” congress on May 19 on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
The final fights were traditionally attended by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who, together with the President of the Koresh Federation of Russia Dzhaudat Minnakhmetov, presented the main prize of the competition to the winner of the absolute weight category - Russian Radik Salakhov.

Also taking part in the ceremonial events were First Deputy Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Khalil Shaikhutdinov, Executive Director of the Russian Union of Martial Arts Ramil Gabbasov and heads of national federations for national types of wrestling: Azerbaijan - Samir Abdullaev, Kyrgyzstan - Ryskeldi Shamiev, Uzbekistan - Ravshan Dastirov, Asian Belbogli Kurash Confederation - Mumin Muratov, Turkmenistan - Yashuzak Mametnazarov, Tajikistan - Shavkat Zaripov.

In total, more than 100 wrestlers from 17 countries took part in international koresh competitions.

As part of the ceremonial events of the tournament, an international federation record was set in the discipline “the largest number of deflection throws in 1 minute.”

The contenders for the record, world champion in koresh, Tatarstan resident Dinar Karimullin, and Russian champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, winner of the world cup in koresh, representative of St. Petersburg, Emil Ziganshin, made a simultaneous attempt to set a record. With a result of 29 throws in 1 minute, the record was set by Emil Ziganshin. Dinar Karimullin showed a result of 24 throws.

The record was recorded by a panel of judges chaired by the chief judge of international koresh competitions, Olympic silver medalist, Honored Master of Sports Murad Gaidarov.
