International Koresh Belt Wrestling Tournament in Antalya
From September 24 to 28, international Koresh Belt Wrestling competitions and master classes were held at Peacock Fight Club in Antalya, Türkiye.
The tournament brought together 70 athletes from different countries. Participants were selected based on the results of preliminary master classes, which formed an important part of the preparation for the competition. They helped athletes improve their technique and adapt to the tournament format.
The competition featured five weight categories, ranging from 65 kg to over 100 kg. This broad range attracted athletes with diverse backgrounds, including experienced Koresh Belt Wrestling athletes as well as representatives of other wrestling disciplines looking to test themselves in a new format.
A delegation from the International Koresh Belt Wrestling Federation, headed by Chairman of the Board Ravil Nogumanov, ensured that the tournament was conducted in accordance with international standards. Its responsibilities included coordinating the work of the refereeing panel, monitoring compliance with the rules, and providing methodological support to organizers and athletes. The presence of the delegation confirmed the official status of the competition and contributed to a unified approach to officiating and evaluation.
