International competitions for prizes of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan were held in Astana

From February 26 to March 1, the capital of Kazakhstan hosted an international competition for the prizes of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in traditional wrestling. Three national martial arts were presented at the festival: Koresh, Belt Wrestling, and Alysh.

The activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan are aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony and tolerance, mutual enrichment of cultures, and the preservation and development of customs, traditions, and languages of ethnic groups. The Chairman of the Assembly is the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Rafik Valiyev, Vice President of the Association of National Wrestling Styles of Kazakhstan and a long-time partner and friend of the Koresh Federation, attended the tournament as a guest of honor.

The tournament was an important step in the development of national sports and strengthening intercultural dialogue. The organizers noted the high level of preparation of the participants and the significant interest of spectators in national martial arts.

The organization of the tournament was the result of a fruitful collaboration that began during Ravil Nogumanov's visit to Kazakhstan in January of this year. At a meeting with Kazakhstani colleagues, the foundations for holding this significant sporting event were laid.
