Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin took part in the forum of the World Confederation of Ethnic Sports in Antalya

Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin took part in the forum of the World Ethnic Sports Confederation, which was held on February 17-18 in Antalya (Turkey). More than a hundred delegates from 75 countries took part in the forum.

Oleg Matytsin spoke at a high-level panel session and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the ministers of sports of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ghana, Guinea, Namibia, Sierra Leone, and Chad.

Also within the framework of the forum, a meeting was held between the President of the World Confederation of Ethnic Sports, Bilal Erdogan, and the Minister of Sports of Turkey, Osman Ashkin Bak.

As part of an experience exchange program with the World Ethnosport Confederation, a specialist from the Koresh International Federation flew to Turkey to prepare for the forum.
The International Koresh Federation under the leadership of Dzhaudat Minnakhmetov and the World Confederation of Ethnic Sports have a long and productive relationship. Koresh has been represented at the international ethnosport forum since its founding in 2018.
Since 2020, the Koresh Federation has been part of the World Ethnosport Confederation, and in 2022 it won the “Organization for Traditional Sports” nomination at the 4th annual World Ethnosport Confederation award.

Also in 2022, the vice-president of the Koresh Federation, Ravil Nogumanov, was elected to the board of directors of the World Ethnosport Confederation.
