International Koresh Competitions and Master Classes in Dubai

From December 23 to 25, master classes and an international tournament in belt wrestling koresh (tatar koresh) were held at the Kuma Team sports club in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). More than 50 athletes from 12 countries took part in the final part of the competition. A delegation of the International Koresh Federation headed by the Chairman of the Board Ravil Nogumanov arrived in the UAE to hold the tournament.

A master class for all participants and guests of the tournament was held by Olympic silver medalist Murad Gaidarov. The delegation from Russia included famous koresh wrestlers, multiple champions of Russia, world champions in koresh Dinar Karimullin, Ranis Gilyazetdinov, Azat Gabdrashitov, as well as Russian champions in Greco-Roman wrestling Emil Ziganshin and Marat Garipov.

Three sets of awards were contested in the junior competition, and among men, wrestlers competed in five weight categories.
