International Koresh Belt Wrestling Competition Held in Istanbul
An international koresh belt wrestling competition took place in Istanbul at the Yoruk Fight Academy sports hall. The tournament attracted significant attention from the sports community of the Republic of Turkey and became an important milestone in the development of ethnosport.
More than 70 athletes took part in the competition, competing for victory across five weight categories. The core of the participants was the Turkish national team, which demonstrated a high level of preparation and deep respect for the traditions of koresh belt wrestling.
The tournament was given special significance by a master class conducted by world-class stars:
Murad Gaidarov — Olympic silver medalist and koresh belt wrestling World Cup winner;
Dinar Karimullin — multiple-time world champion, winner of the World Nomad Games, and winner of the BRICS Games.
The masters shared technical insights with participants and spectators, spoke about the nuances of training, and answered numerous questions. The master class became not only an educational event but also a platform for exchanging experience among representatives of different countries.
